ACCOUNT

Account & subscription

Check your login details, device setup and subscription status before connecting.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Use a unique password and store your login details securely rather than relying only on browser autofill. After creating your account, make sure you can sign in to the user panel before viewing plans or downloading a client. If you forget your login details, check the support options available in the panel. Don’t assume you can recover your account by email, and never share your password with someone else to handle for you.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change devices?

3KVPN supports unlimited devices, so changing devices alone doesn’t require you to choose a new plan. Sign in to the same account on your new device, download a client for that platform, and import your subscription. When using multiple devices, keep an eye on your plan’s remaining data—device limits and data allowances are separate. Before handing an old device to someone else, remove any saved subscriptions and account details so your credentials don’t remain on the device.

Where can I get the client and subscription?

Download the client from the user panel. Don’t get installation files from unfamiliar links. After signing in, you can download clients for Windows, macOS, Android and Linux. The iOS download option requires an active plan. Sign in to get your subscription. Having a subscription doesn’t mean you’re connected yet—you’ll still need to import it and verify the connection. If you’re new, follow the getting-started guide in order: install, grant permissions, import, then choose a route. This helps ensure you don’t miss any system permissions.

How do I update my subscription, and what if the routes don’t change?

Open the subscription or configuration manager in your client, find the subscription you’re using, and run an update. Then check the update status. If the route list hasn’t changed, make sure you updated the configuration that’s actually in use, then check your plan status and subscription details in the panel. If you need to import it again, get the current subscription from the panel instead of reusing an old link from chat history. Subscription links contain account access credentials, so hide the full link before taking screenshots or submitting a support ticket.

When does data reset for monthly plans and data packages?

Monthly plan data resets each month on the date your plan started, not at the beginning of a calendar month. Check your account panel for the current status. Data packages don’t expire and remain available until used; used data isn’t restored monthly. Before choosing, consider whether you need continuous or occasional access. A data package isn’t a monthly recurring allowance. If your account has multiple orders, check the active plan and data records shown in the panel rather than assuming how allowances combine or are used.

CONNECTION

Connection issues

Check your local network, client and target app separately to narrow down the issue.

The client won’t connect at all. Where should I start?

Disconnect the client and check that your local network can open regular websites. Then check your plan status, remaining data and subscription update status. Once your basic connection is working, reopen the client and try another available region. Also check that you’ve granted any network permissions required by your system. Don’t run multiple tools that take control of your network at the same time, as their proxy settings may conflict. If the problem persists, save the error message and note what you did before submitting a support ticket.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I do?

A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it doesn’t guarantee that a particular website is reachable. Compare how different websites and apps behave, then check whether the system proxy or the client’s network-routing feature is working. If only your browser is affected, check its proxy extensions and cache. If everything is affected, check your DNS settings and look for conflicts with other network tools. Change one setting at a time and note what happens before and after, so you can identify the cause.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app doesn’t use the proxy?

Apps can use different network routes, so a working browser doesn’t mean every app automatically uses the system proxy. Check whether the client’s routing rules send the app or its domain directly, and whether the app has its own proxy settings. If the client offers a network-routing mode, read its instructions before enabling it; don’t switch modes based on the name alone. Also quit and reopen the app to establish a new connection. If the issue persists, note the app’s name and error message.

How can I troubleshoot disconnections when a mobile app goes into the background?

First check whether disconnections happen only after locking the screen, switching apps or changing networks. If the connection works in the foreground but drops in the background, check your system’s battery-saving settings, background activity permissions and network permissions. Adjust them according to the client’s instructions. After switching networks, reconnect and check the service again. Background tasks work differently across operating systems, so don’t rely on settings screenshots from another platform. When submitting a support ticket, include your system, client and the specific action that triggered the disconnection.

How do I troubleshoot a failed subscription update or DNS error?

First make sure your local network can reach the user panel, then check that the subscription saved in your client is complete and your account is in good standing. If you see a resolution error, check whether you manually changed your system’s DNS settings or installed a tool that modifies network settings. Note the original settings before following the client’s instructions. Don’t share your subscription link while troubleshooting or replace it with a configuration from an unknown source. If the panel works but updates keep failing, include the error message with sensitive information concealed.

NETWORK

Speed & routes

Choose a route based on the target service’s regional requirements and your experience, not just speed-test results.

Which regions are covered, and how should I choose a route?

3KVPN covers 120+ countries and 230+ routes. Check the user panel and your updated client subscription for currently available routes. First check which regions your target service supports, then compare real-world responsiveness and connection stability. Distance can be a useful guide, but it isn’t the only factor: cross-border routing, your local network and the target service’s status can all affect performance. If your work requires a consistent region, choose a suitable exit location and stick with it rather than switching without a specific reason.

What should I do if speeds slow down or videos buffer during peak hours?

Pause bandwidth-heavy tasks on other devices and compare different websites on the same network to see whether the issue is local congestion or a particular service. Then try another route in a region supported by the target service and note how the same app performs. For video, try lowering the quality to see if playback stabilizes. A single speed test isn’t a guarantee of long-term speeds. If the issue keeps recurring during peak hours, include the time, local network, target service and routes you tried in your support ticket.

Why are downloads or AI chats slow when my speed test looks fine?

Speed tests and apps connect to different destinations, so a test result can’t represent every service. Downloads can also be affected by the source server, task settings and local disk. AI chats may depend on platform load, account status or an interrupted long-lived connection. Compare the same destination across different routes and check the app’s error messages instead of repeatedly running speed tests. If only one service is affected, focus your troubleshooting on its behavior and avoid changing several network settings at once.

Does a successful connection guarantee access to every streaming or AI service?

A successful connection doesn’t mean the target platform will accept your current region. Streaming and AI services may consider your exit region, account region, subscription eligibility and their own risk controls, and their policies can change. Check the target platform’s requirements, choose a route in a supported region and follow its terms. A region name isn’t a guarantee of access. If you see a verification request or region warning, save the message and avoid repeatedly switching exit locations, which can make troubleshooting harder.

Could frequent disconnections be caused by bank-grade encryption settings?

3KVPN uses bank-grade encryption, but a disconnection alone doesn’t show that encryption settings are to blame. First determine whether the local network disconnected, the client closed, the system went to sleep or the target app lost its connection. Check your system clock, network changes and conflicts with other network tools, then test with the recommended settings in your current client. Don’t turn off security-related settings just to stay connected. If multiple routes disconnect after the same action, share the steps that trigger the issue and the error message with support.

BILLING

Billing & refunds

Check prices, data and refunds separately. Handle order-related questions through the panel.

How much do monthly plans cost, and how do I choose one?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. All support unlimited devices. Choose based on your typical total data use, not just the number of devices: video, downloads and simultaneous use across devices all consume data. Data resets monthly on your plan’s start date. Check your remaining allowance in the panel before use. See the plans page to compare plans and data packages; don’t assume 3KVPN’s billing terms based on prices or billing periods shown on other sites.

How much do data packages cost, and are they suitable for occasional use?

Data packages cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB and ¥658 for 3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. If your usage is intermittent, compare a monthly plan with a data package based on your expected data use and habits. No expiration doesn’t mean unlimited data or a monthly allowance reset. Check the order details and activation information in the panel before choosing. If you already have another plan, don’t assume the two will combine automatically or that data will be deducted in a particular order.

What happens to the cost and remaining time if I upgrade mid-plan?

When you upgrade a monthly plan, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Check the upgrade details shown in the panel and make sure they meet your needs; don’t calculate them based on a calendar month or a fixed number of days. Before upgrading, note your current plan, remaining data and expiration status so you can check what changed. If the details differ from what you expected, pause and ask through a support ticket before proceeding. Placing another order could make your order and plan status harder to verify.

Which payment methods are supported, and what if my plan status doesn’t update after payment?

Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT are supported. Start payment through the order process in the user panel and check the details shown for your current order. If the status doesn’t update after payment, review the order record and confirm whether the payment went through. Don’t create multiple orders and pay again. If you still need help, include the order ID, payment method and a payment receipt with sensitive details concealed in your support ticket. Don’t share your password, full subscription link or payment details unrelated to the order.

How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?

3KVPN offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a refund request through the support ticket option. Include the relevant order and keep a copy of the order record. See the Terms of Service for applicable rules. If you’re also having connection issues, you can include the error message to help with the review, but don’t share your password or full subscription link. Check the panel for refund status; this page makes no separate promise about processing times or conditions not stated in the terms.
